RHH: What Span Of Years is Truly the Golden Years of Hip Hop For You?

I said for you, so it could be any span of years you enjoyed the most
(music-wise of course). Don't do a span of years that is longer than 8
years or shorter than 3 years.

Also list your favorite album from each year in that span.

Elaborate if you like, here's mine:

1988-1996

I choose this span of years because each year has a large quantity of
releases that are all considered classics more than any other span in
my opinion.

1988 - Long Live Kane by Big Daddy Kane
1989 - Unfinished Business by EPMD
1990 - AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted by Ice Cube
1991 - The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
1992 - Mecca the Soul Brother by Pete Rock CL Smooth
1993 - Enter the 36 Chambers by Wu-Tang Clan
1994 - Illmatic by Nas
1995 - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... by Raekwon the Chef
1996 - Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z

BQ: Were you born within the span of years you choose?
